Hire terms

These are the basic terms of hiring a car from Demo Car Hire. The signed agreement at pickup is the full contract.

Driver Self-drive hirers must be 23 or older and hold a valid driving permit. Only drivers named on the agreement may drive.

The car The car is handed over clean, serviced and with the fuel level noted on the handover sheet. Return it with the same fuel, or pay the refuelling charge.

Security deposit Self-drive hires pay a refundable security deposit at pickup. It is returned after the car comes back undamaged, less any charges.

Damage, fines and accidents Report any accident or damage to us at once. Traffic fines during the hire are the hirer's. Damage not covered by insurance is charged to the hirer.

Late return A car returned more than 2 hours late is charged an extra day.

Cancelling

Free cancellation up to 48 hours before pickup. Later cancellations lose the online deposit.
